Wednesday Wonders

Okay...now I have been sitting around all day. Bored out of my mind, which got me to wondering about some things. (Hence the title of this blog!) Have you ever wondered:

1. Why every commercial for a medication that's supposed to HELP you has so many BAD side effects?

2. Why do people always buy: bread, milk and canned goods during a power outage? The milk is going to sour and you won't have any power to open the can of corn!

3. Why do they announce power outages on television?

4. Why is there Braille on drive up ATM machines? (This one actually scares me a little)

5. Why you can pop corn in a microwave, but if it's hot outside you don't end up with a field full of popcorn?

6. Why Noah didn't kill those two roaches? (LOL! Saw that somewhere couldn't leave it out...)

7. Why people sit at a stop sign like it's gonna turn green?? (I HATE this!) It's says: STOP not STAY people!!

8. Or worse yet, why people sit at a green light like it's gonna turn a different SHADE of green?

Okay, guess I need to do some writing. I've goofed off enough. (Don't tell my publisher.)

Until next time!!

Good morning....

Okay...so a sistah is STILL sleepy. It's 7:46 and I have been tossing and turning all night. And the ONE day I want to sleep in....the garbage man is early. Now they haven't been showing up usually until the sun goes down and the dogs have had a chance to feast on everyone's *ish. But now....today.....when I'm so sleepy I can't focus my eyes right.....they are here!! So you would probably say "This is a great opportunity to get some writing done!" Wrong!!! I have writers block and nothing is flowing. *sigh* My third book is about halfway done, so I am going to TRY to get those juices pumping at some point today. But right now I am going to jump in my phone booth and do a Superman. Basically that means I am going to change and go to the gym. Might as well....ain't no sleeping in this subdivision this morning. Damn! I just heard someone fire up their lawn mower! You have GOT to be kidding me!! Who mows their law at 7:51 in the morning and not get beat down??? Ugh!!

Until next time...

Ummm....about those trips out west...

I know I said I was gonna start rolling out tour dates for the midwest and western regions (yeah..I said REGIONS. LOL!) And a lot of you have expressed that you can't wait to for me to hit your city..... HOW-ever.... ::biting nails:: I'm still working on my issues with flying. Mainly the one where I...uhhhh...am scared to do it... But! Don't be discouraged... LOL! I will overcome! But not in a triumphant...save the world way, but in a...I can get on the plane and cry like a baby until someone gives me a shot of gin to knock me out kinda way... LOL!

See you soon!!

Do fish drink water???

Okay...I ask this question because I swear mine are always at the top of the tank...sipping on the water! LOL! Well at least that's what it sounds like to me! And I won't even get into how I think they are staring at me ::biting nails::

Anyway...LOL! What's up y'all...how's everything wit 'cha? Things are going really well with me. I am working on my third (yes THIRD) novel, and I seem to have been scooped up by the lecturing circuit. I will be speaking at two schools in May and have three others that are working out dates for me. I have always had a passion for uplifting youth and now it's coming to pass! Tell me God don't answer prayers! :-) I am looking forward to it and hope I can plant a seed that will help them develop good decision making habits.

All That Glitters is still doing well. I hope to have more tour dates for you soon. I am working my way out west, so TX, MO, CA get ready cuz I'm coming! Yippee!!!

Until next time!

Happy Birthday to me!! (5 days ago....)

LOL!! Okay, so what's up!! How's everyone doing?? This week has been a little busy for me, but in a good way. I've gotten a lot accomplished in the literary world and I am very encouraged by it. Last night I went to Tina Brooks McKinney's release party for her new book Fool Stop Trippin' I had sooo much fun. Tina is a wonderfully beautiful person and I wish her all the success in the world. I got the pleasure of meeting Marsha Jenkins-Sanders, author of The Other Side of Through, beautiful woman with a powerful story. I felt like I groupie in the room with all of the seasoned authors! (Hiiiiiiiiii Thomas!! LOL!)

As for me, today I will be signing copies of All That Glitters along side fellow author Peron F. Long at Barnes and Noble on Cobb Parkway here in Atlanta from 2-4 p.m. So if you're in the area, stop by and say hi! I plan on hitting up my FAVORITE restaurant after the signing, PF Chang's. :-) So if you want to come by and get a great book and have lunch with me I would love to meet you!!

Well....

Until next time...

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Wow...it's been a whole month since I've checked in with you guys and I am soooooo sorry. I have been really busy. I hope your month was prosperous and productive. Believe it or not, mine was uneventful. I am looking forward to Spring though! The first day of Spring is on the 20th and then a few days later is my birthday! Woohoo!! Truthfully I keep forgetting about and my friends have to keep reminding me. LOL! I am actually more excited about my son's birthday coming up in April. He'll be five and has told me that he wants a mohawk. ::eyeroll:: But lately he thinks him turning five is a magical thing, because he's relating EVERYTHING to turning five. For example, when he turns five he can: get a mohawk, stay up late, play baseball AND football, and get a new video game. LOL! Well I am off to bury my head in my keyboard and try to get some writing done.

If you live in the area I will be at Arbor Place Mall, in Douglasville, GA this Saturday March 22nd from 1-5 signing copies of ALL THAT GLITTERS. Stop by and pick up a copy and say hi! The book is doing really well, both in the stores and on Amazon. I am very pleased with how well it's been received. So thank you to those who have already purchased it and given me feedback, and if you haven't yet, please do. I promise you'll enjoy it!

Take care....and until next time....
